Excellent universal pump packing for granularand abrasive applications
CHAMPION Style 173 Spun Aramid Packing is an abrasion resistant, aramid packing resistant to chemicals at high temperature. This performance packing is cross-plaited from staple fibre spun high quality aramid yarns. Each stand of yarn is uniformly impregnated with PTFE dispersion and temperature resisting silicone oil.
- PTFE suspensoid thoroughly seals and fills all voids providing better resistance to chemical attack.
- A light lubricant is applied under pressure to improve run-inproperties.
- High mechanical stability and low co-efficient of friction
- Excellent abrasion resistance minimizing shaft wear to the parent equipment
CHAMPION Style 173 Spun Aramid Packings CHAMPION Style 173 Spun Aramid Packings are used primary for sealing/pump packings in high temperature, abrasive media and slurry applications.
Typical applications are valves, pumps, agitators, rotary and reciprocating applications in solvents, mild alkalies handling abrasive and aggressive media in pulp and paper mills, petrochemical plants, power stations, metallurgical plants, sewage works. Suitable for highly corrosive chemicals and abrasive media.
Water type fluids (water/steam), oil type fluids, organic solvents, hydrocarbons, chemical products, corrosive fluids (other than oxidizing acids) and low temperature fluids. Not recommended for Oxygen, fuming nitric acid.
All popular sections from 6mm to 25mm in boxes containing coils of 2.5/5 kilograms.
Also supplied as split pre-formed rings and ring sets. Special size and lengths available on request.
